Having worked for AFI Group of Companies since November 2013, I was appointed as Group Director in July 2017. Under my leadership, the HSEQ team continues to grow both in size, experience and success in influencing and supporting all areas of the business in recognising the importance of HSEQ for our own staff, and that of our customers. Responsibility for Insurance claim investigation and the continued development of a manageable register of approved Contractors. AFI Group of Companies continues to be recognised year on year by RoSPA (6 x Gold award) and the British Safety Council. In 2019, AFI was awarded a Distinction and I was very pleased to accept the award at the International Safety Awards Gala Dinner in April of that year.

Responsible for a team of 5 HSEQ Professionals to develop strategies in order to maintain safe systems of work and ISO accreditations. AFI is a dynamic fast moving company which has presented me with challenges in developing and maintaining such high standards, but the rewards in eg. the dramatic fall in Accident Frequency Rates, continue to make it worthwhile In the last 2 years, since I started working for AFI, the company has gained awards for Health and Safety Management from the British Safety Council, and a Gold Award from RoSPA. Accident Frequency Rates have fallen to levels which are some of the best in the sector
